The sandwich industry is a growing one and today contributes some £7.85bn to the UK economy - around £4.4bn in the food to go sector. The sandwich transcends food to go, of course, with catering, cafe, pub, hotel and other providers creating sandwiches for diners.
The following presentations were made to the Joint Technical Forum held at FreshPak, Barnsley on 22nd April 2015.
Sandwiches have been taken off the menu at all Aberdeen schools. The city council said the decision was partly down to seasonal changes in the meals being offered to pupils and staff, and also down to forthcoming changes in food labelling legislation.
