Melton Foods, situated in Melton Mowbray, was opened in April 1998 to meet the increasing demand for sandwiches. Technical integrity and manufacturing excellence has enabled the business to grow rapidly. Melton Foods stands in 13 acres and, being purpose built, offers state-of-the-art high care manufacturing and assembly. Melton Foods supplies Waitrose, Costco and Lidl own label sandwiches and also manufactures for Costa, McDonalds and Starbucks. Products include conventional and contemporary toasties, sandwiches, wraps, paninis, chilled breakfast pots, party foods and porridge. Accreditations gained include BRC Global Standards for Food Safety, Gluten Free and Plant Based; EFSIS, MSC, RSPO, SMETA and The British Sandwich Association, who voted Melton Foods their BSA Sandwich Manufacturer of the Year 2005.
