Advice for employers on issues related to the Coronavirus outbreak.
We will help your technical team obtain the best advice when they need it.
All our members are covered by our Primary Authority Agreement, which means we can get advice on the interpretation of legislation from Government sources that is Assured and difficult for EHO’s to challenge.
This guidance has been produced from advice and research available in the public domain. We have drawn together multiple sources of information to help assist management and their individual supply chains to reduce and control Listeria in Ready to Eat (RTE) chilled foods. The guidance is aimed at enhancing and building upon existing HACCP systems.
As part of the Food Standards Agency #EasytoAsk Allergen Awareness campaign we have collaborated on a new logo that can be used across all printed media. The #EasytoAsk logo has been specially adapted for our members to use across all products and collateral with the aim to encourage staff to be aware and customers to speak up and ask about ingredients and allergen information.
Research findings underpinning the campaign show that young people with food allergies or intolerances face challenges when eating out. This campaign icon is designed to encourage more interaction so customers can ask for allergen information and eat safely. For businesses, introducing the logo enables staff to communicate allergen information, potentially avoiding the need for full labelling.
Downloading the logo is easy. Click here, a new tab will open, right click and save.
Please do feel free to use the #EasytoAsk logo in store, on products or across any printed literature.
According to Acas (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service), one in ten employers believe their performance management processes are actually demotivating their employees.
This shouldn’t be happening. Performance management is not just about managing out those employees whose performance is below par. It is also about setting clear expectations, giving people praise for good work, providing constructive feedback to help them improve, refocusing efforts to align with new objectives, resolving any concerns, identifying training and development needs and increasing your employee’s engagement level. All of this will ensure that your business is getting the very best out of your employees.
